Perform lifeguard duties as directed by supervisor. Ensure the safety of students, staff, faculty, and visitors to the pool and/or lakefront facilities and performing water rescues if necessary.

Lifeguards are employed to ensure the safety and supervision of the pool and lakefront areas while in use. Other related duties such as basic maintenance and related tasks are required to be performed when not actively serving in the role as a lifeguard. Lifeguards will supervise both the Marion Bowman Activities Center Pool as well as the University’s lakefront area in a scheduled rotation and perform in-water rescues as necessary.
Current Lifeguard Certification
Current First Aid Certification
Current CPRFPR Certification
Current AED Usage Certification
Required Skills: Reliability, Dependability, Punctuality, Self-Confidence, and the willingness and ability to take charge.
Federal Work Study eligibility preferred.
